As you know in the interior it can get down to -40 during the winter, so when -5 hit, Jeremiah and I took advantage of the heat wave and hit the trails, cross country ski trails that is. Jeremiah skied for 12 years, and also taught the little ones how to ski.
Jeremiah was patient with me and I'm sure stifled a few giggles as I fell on my butt several times! Here's some proof that we don't hibernate ALL winter long:)
This is Jeremiah's Elementary school- they incorporate skiing into the kiddos curriculum...
More importantly- this is where all the practice trails are located.

That wasn't the end of that day, we had an improtant task, we had to replace all those calories that we burned! ;P And what better way to do that than baking. I have to let you know that I am officially a Westerlund Wife! I got my Kitchen Aid Mixer this year from My Mom and Dad Inlaw for Christmas... Along with replacing those calories, I had to break it in:)
